We seem to be in the midst of a rainy season here in Colorado…and I don’t know what to say. It’s just seems so weird. And beautiful, definitely beautiful (also, I’m on Instagram, this is as close as I’ll get to asking you to follow me). I absolutely love all of the green everywhere – which coordinated nicely with the book I started. Pretty Is has rather pretty cover. Before you start to wonder at the brilliance of this blog post, here is what I’m reading this week:
Pretty is by Maggie Mitchell, Oil and Honey (still) by Bill McKibben, and The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey.
My book club meets Wednesday for Oil and Honey, I can totally finish it in time, right? Procrastination is painful in the end and oh so good while it’s happening.
I also have an e-ARC of Pretty Is, so I’m interested to hear how you like it! I’ll probably read mine in a couple weeks 🙂 I do follow you on Insta, and your photos make me want to move.

Thanks! Colorado is great, if a bit dry (I grew up just north of Boston).

I’m reading Pretty Is right now too! Really enjoying it so far — what about you?

I’m liking it quite a bit actually, and I’m not a huge “thriller” fan (I use quotation marks because I’m not sure it should quite be labeled that).

I really wasn’t expecting the “thriller” angle, and I kind of thought the book would have been better without it.

I just saw Pretty Is for the first time over the weekend and was pulled in by that cover. Can’t wait to hear what you think about the innards. Your photos are great, I really should sign up for Instagram, but egads, one more thing. But I do love the photography, so it’s one I should make time for. Thanks for the push!

Thanks! We live in a (generally) pretty part (west Denver). The eastern side does not hold as much appeal, though I’m totally biased.

Rainy is ok 😉 We had snow recenty (EEK) and now we’re back to summer. Anyway, I have been seeing Oil and Honey here and there and am curious — any good?

Our last snow was May 11th and we haven’t had a repeat yet.
Oil and Honey is okay. I thought the comparison her was trying to make (beehives to corporations) was a bit of a stretch, but it was enjoyable reading nonetheless.
