“Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We’d love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!”
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday: Which character would you love to switch places with for only 24 hours? Here are mine, though it’d likely change on a day to day basis.
1. Elizabeth Bennett in Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
2. Hermione Granger in any of the novels by J. K. Rowling
3. Diana Bishop in Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
4. Lisbeth Salander in Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
5. Jo March in Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
6. Anne in Persuasion by Jane Austen
7. James Bond in Casino Royale by Ian Fleming (my 24 hours would not include the torture scene).
8. Jane Eyre in Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
9. Daenerys Targaryen in A Song of Ice and Fire Series by George R.R. Martin
10. Sayuri in Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden

Daenerys is an interesting choice. I have only read the first 2 books so far and she is definitely an great character! I wish I had added Hermione to my list.

Great picks! I like how you chose Hermione. 🙂 I’d rather switch with Luna though. 🙂

Mercutio from Romeo and Juliet. Either that or Georgia from Angus Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging.

Mercutio…really? I’d be curious as to why (though I do like the idea of a good exit line).

He’s just one of my favorite characters – clever wild, reckless and funny. You know how so many romance readers like Mr. Darcy? Well, that’s the way I feel about Mercutio.
